2014년 7월, 캔파운데이션에서 운영하는 오래된 집이라는 공간에서 전시를 열었다. 나는 예술과 시스템의 관계를 염두하며 '어떤 전시'를 만들었다.
실제로 극적으로 살아온 노년의 한 인생과 길거리 노점에서 구매한 키치스타일의 그림을 조합시켰고, 가짜의 이름 하나만 덧붙였다.
중요한 것은 전시를 진행하며, 원래 시스템을 속이려 하였던 내가 반대로 거대한 시스템에서 벗어날 수 없음을 깨달았다는 것이다.
In July 2014 I held an exhibition at Old House, a space run by CAN Foundation. With the relationship between art and its systems in mind, I made 'a certain exhibition'.
I combined the real life of an elderly person who had lived dramatically with kitsch-style paintings bought from a street stall, and added just one thing: a fake name.
What mattered was that, as the exhibition went on, I — who had set out to fool the system — realized I could not escape the larger system myself.
