2014. 7. 18 ~ 27 / Old House by Can Foundation, Seoul (오래된 집, 캔 파운데이션, 서울)

2014년 7월, 캔파운데이션에서 운영하는 오래된 집이라는 공간에서 전시를 열었다. 나는 예술과 시스템의 관계를 염두하며 '어떤 전시'를 만들었다.

실제로 극적으로 살아온 노년의 한 인생과 길거리 노점에서 구매한 키치스타일의 그림을 조합시켰고, 가짜의 이름 하나만 덧붙였다.

중요한 것은 전시를 진행하며, 원래 시스템을 속이려 하였던 내가 반대로 거대한 시스템에서 벗어날 수 없음을 깨닳았다는 것이다.

July 2014, I opened an exhibition in the Old house operated by Can foundations. I created 'exhibition' when contemplating the relationship between Art and the system.

Pictures of the combination was purchased from a person's life dramatically lived and street stalls of old age kitsch style.

The important thing proceeds of the exhibition, Initially planning I want cheat the system. bout i learnd can not able.

What kind of Artist I am? _ 2014

2014년 12월 마지막 주 나는 페이스북을 통하여 내 주변이들에게 내가 어떤 작가인지 물어보았다. 생각보다 저조한 참여율로 내가 이런 작가라고 얘기를 들을 수 있었다.

December 2014, I asked to my SNS friends about think about my artistic identity. The participation rate was lower than expected. (maybe 3% of my all friends.)

나는 부지런함을 증명하고 싶었다.

나는 비교적 부지런한 예술가라는 얘기를 칭찬으로 듣는 편이었고, 언젠가 내 부지런함을 증명해 보기로 하였다. 2013년 7월 31일부터 2014년 7월 30일까지, 매일 아침 일어나는 시간을 카메라로 찍기로 하였다. 그러나 여러 이유로 인하여 1년을 다 채우지 못한 220여일 정도만 기록할 수 있었고 나는 이를 실패하였다고 생각했다.

220여일 동안 찍은 사진들에 라디오헤드의 Creep을 직접 불러 삽입하였고 영상작업으로 제작하였다.

I wanted to prove my diligence.

Sometimes, I've been told as a compliment that I'm a relatively diligent artist, and I've decided to prove my diligence some day. From 7. 31. 2013 to 7. 30. 2014, I had taken time to get up at morning. But I had many happenings, so I I succeeded only 220days, did not compleate the 1 year. So I think failed to this artwork. I made a movie with pictures of 220days and 'Creep' songed by my self.
